The described puppy on this____day of_________in the year of 2003 has been sold
(AS A PET TO BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED) to the person (s) losted below as purchaser.
(UPON PROOF OF SPAYING OR NEUTERING WITH A LETTER FROM VETERINARIAN AKC
PAPERS WILL BE FURNISHED.) This dog is in sound body and good health, free from
communicable diseases as far as appears to the eye. This guarantee for the health of
the dog for (ONLY THE FIRST 48 HOURS THAT IT IS IN THE BUYERS CARE.) Every
reasonable care has been taken by Seller to insure that this dog is in good health,
however, to validate this guarantee, the Buyuer has ( 48 HOURS FROM THE FIRST HOUR
TO HAVE THIS PUPPY CHECKED BY A LICENSED VETERINARIAN.) If the vet should find
anything seriously wrong with the puppy (LIFE THREATENING,) it will be exchanged for
another of equal value (WHEN AVAILABLE, PROVIDED A LETTER FROM THE EXAMINING
VETERINARIAN IS OFFERED AS EVIDENCE OF THE PUPPY'S ILLNESS, AND THE PUPPY
IS RETURNED WITHIN THE GUARANTEE PERIOD.) Also I have a guarantee for the dog
against life threatening genetic defects. Should the dog develope a life threatening
genetic problem such as liver shunts, heart problem etc. With an autopsy and a letter
from the examining veterinarian I will replace the dog up to a period of 5 years. There
are no other guarantees or agreements about this dogs developement, unless specifically
stated in the space below with Sellers signature.
Upon leaving the premises, Buyer becomes solely responsible for this dog. Therefore,
accidental death, injury of the dog, medical expenses, landlords disapproval, allergy to
the animal, disagreement between family members, or any other reasons do not
invalidate this agreement.
SHIPMENT OF DOGS; In the event it is necessary to ship this dog to the Buyer. (BUYER
IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING EXPENSES INCURRED UPON SHIPPING FOR
APPROVAL.) Buyer hereby agrees to a 24 hour period. If for any reason he wishes to
return the dog, Seller must be notified within the 24 hour period, and arrangements made
for the immediate return of the dog. Upon receiving the dog back in same conditions of
health and coat, full purchase price will be refunded. Buyer must sign this agreement and
remit purchase price of dog and shipping fees prior to shipment of the dog.
Any puppy going to a new home may be a bit unsure until becoming completely familiar
with new surroundings. Also, most puppies undergoing change in environment, diet,
water, etc. may have a stomach upset causing diarrhea. In the event this happens, put
the puppy on cottage cheese and give Kaopectate, Pepto-Bismol or any other human
diarrhea medicine. Should diarrhea persist longer than 3 days, or become severe, or be
accompanied by vomiting and fever see vet immediately.
Health record is included with this Agreement of Sale on a separate form.
